TERMS OF SERVICE
Rules for using service ( Frost Auth ), what we owe you, and what you owe the people who use software you license.
Our Service
Frost Auth is a licensing and authentication platform. You create products, issue licence keys, and your software checks them against our API. The platform binds licences to machines, enforces device limits, and gives your customers a panel to manage their own access.
Your account
You need a verified email address before the dashboard becomes usable. Unverified account cannot create products or issue licences, and is deleted after seven days.
- One person or organisation per account. Do not share credentials.
- Enable two-factor authentication. If you lose both your authenticator and your recovery codes, we cannot restore access.
- Your recovery key is shown once at signup. Keep it somewhere safe.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
Your customers' data
When your end users create accounts in your products, activate licences or run your software, that data is yours in law: you decide what happens to it, and we process it under your instructions.
That means a few things are your job, not ours:
- Telling your users what you collect and why, in your own privacy notice.
- Having a lawful basis for collecting it.
- Answering their access and deletion requests. The platform gives you the tools; the obligation is yours.
We will not use your customers' data for our own purposes, and we will not contact them except where you ask us to or the law requires it.
Plans and payment
Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for all fiat transactions, or via cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. All pricing is dynamically sourced from our servers; the amount displayed at the time of checkout reflects the current applicable rate and constitutes the final charge to your payment method.
- Cancel at any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then drops to Starter (Free).
- Downgrading may leave you over a plan limit. Existing licences keep working; you will not be able to create more until you are back under the cap.
- Crypto payments buy a fixed stretch of time and do not renew on their own.
- Refunds are handled case by case. Ask.
Availability
Our platform is hosted on managed cloud infrastructure with continuous monitoring and automated alerting; we take availability seriously because your end users depend on it. That said, we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee or Service Level Agreement on any current plan tier. We would rather be transparent about that than let you assume coverage that does not exist.
Build your integration to survive us being unreachable. Our SDK does this by default: it keeps a session alive through a configurable offline grace window rather than locking your customer out the moment a request fails.
Ending things
You can close your account whenever you like, from Settings - Privacy & Data. Your personal data is erased; your invoices are kept because accounting law requires it, and the licences your customers bought keep working.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account in the event of a material breach of these Terms, failure to remit payment following written notice, or where we are compelled to do so by applicable law or regulatory requirement. Outside of cases involving severe or repeated abuse, we will provide advance notice and a reasonable window for you to retrieve and export your data prior to any account closure.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or business interruption, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live.
Changes
We keep a record of exactly which version of these Terms you agreed to and when. If something important changes, we'll let you know before it kicks in, not after. Using the platform after that point means you're good with the update. If you're not, the door's open export your data and close the account, no hard feelings.
